Jacksonville, FL – Jacksonville City Council President Scott Wilson today announced appointment of a three person committee to investigate JEA’s failed attempt to sell Jacksonville’s publicly-owned utility.
Former assistant U.S. Attorney and District 13 Councilman Rory Diamond will chair the committee, with Councilwomen Brenda Priestly Jackson and Randy DeFoor, both attorneys, serving as the two additional members. They will be assisted by Stephen B. Busey of the law firm Smith Hulsey & Busey, hired by city council.
In making the announcement, Wilson said “the public has the right to know exactly what happened, why it happened, how it happened and who was involved.”
