Voting by mail-in balloting has begun in Duval county. The Supervisor of Elections office began mailing ballots to registered voters who previously requested a mail-in ballot on September 24. If you requested a mail-in ballot and have not received it, call the Supervisor’s office at (904) 630-1414.

In addition to the presidential/vice presidential election, this year’s ballot includes elections for representatives to the U. S. House of Representatives; the Florida state legislature; retention of state Supreme Court justices, District judges, and Appeals court judges; Duval county Clerk of the Court; Atlantic and Jacksonville Beach referenda; 6 amendments to Florida’s state constitution; and a “yes-no” vote to levy a Duval county 1/2 penny sales tax to build new and modernize existing county’s schools.

October 5, 2020: Voter Registration Deadline

October 19 – November 1: Early In-Person Voting Dates. Use the link below to locate early voting sites and times.

November 3: 7 am – 7 pm: In-person voting

Mail-in Voting: Deadlines and Instructions:

October 24, 2020: mail-in ballot request deadline

November 3, 7 p.m: Mail-in ballot RETURN DEADLINE. Your ballot must be in the Supervisor’s office by this deadline. You may take it to the Supervisor’s office in person, drop it at any one of multiple drop-box sites, or mail it in advance to ensure it arrives in the Supervisor’s office before the deadline.

Critical Note: Signatures change over time. If your signature is invalidated, your ballot will not count. If in doubt, verify your signature. See the Supervisor’s site for how to validate your signature:

REMEMBER, you may Return Your Mail-In Ballot in one of 3 Ways:

  1. By mail (USPS and all private delivery services such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc. are accepted).
  2. Deposit in a secure mail ballot drop box located at each early voting location during early voting hours.
  3. In person to the Supervisor of Elections Office located at 105 E. Monroe St., Jacksonville, FL 32202
